the Orion trinity

Orion is a faction, three tribes joined as one for the greater good of their members. Winters in Chioni are hard, they need each other to survive.

The Tribe Orion was previously known as the three tribes, Taqqiq, Siqiniq, and Kinguyakki. However due to unchangeable circumstance and unseen dangers the three tribes were forced to unite under one name--they all still hold their own sections of territory and have kept their individual names for the sake of being able to differentiate the three. Unlike the other tribes, this one is led by three Rylarians versus the usual one, and it is they who makes decisions for all three factions. The alliance with one another is ice thin, and a lot needs to be worked on, but until their safety is better assured, they are forced to work together for the best of their comrades and tribemates.

Taqqiq, the most norther and the most secluded tribe. They often take to hiding in the giant ice tunnels when they want to be left alone.

If one dared to come near this secluded camp, it was clear that they didn’t want your business. The walls were heavily built up with logs and stone, spears sharpened to give the outside a terrifying spiky appearance. It looked as if the entrance went underground, but it was hard to tell from this far away.

If you dared to pass the threshold of the entrance, you would immediately be greeted by armed guards. Before you could get a good look at the top of the camp, they would usher you into a dark set of caves, dug for what looked like miles. Lanterns were strung up to light the way, and Rys came out of joining tunnels to gaze at the newcomer. Oh, that was you.

Once you reached the bottom, your heart stopped. A large pool of water spread out before you, a bridge built across it. The guards lead you across the bridge, straight to a ledge shrouded in shadows.

Whispers hit your ears as they talked about you. Who were you? Where did you come from?

Your question was; who was that on the ledge?

The father tribe, one of the first in the Chioni. It is home to philosophers or so they say. It is the only gender restricted tribes. It is male only.

Kinguyakki stood stark against the tundra. It was surprisingly beautiful on the outside. The architecture of the stone walls was impeccable, and the ledges were piled with snow. It was huge.

Once the doors were opened to you, wooden dens were visible all throughout the courtyard. A small stone den was built up on one side. The insides looked to be lined with all sorts of furs, and the middle of the clearing seemed to be a sacred area. It was raised higher than anything else, a pedestal sat atop the small step.

Despite the camp being somewhat bleak, it held a certain charm. Almost like a certain video game. Skyrim, was it called?

Your hackles stood up as you walked through the camp. The air here felt strange. Not good, but not bad either. Suddenly, you feel the threatening presence coming from the mountain, before anyone could tell you who he was.

Siqiniq, the sister tribe to Taqqiq. It lies in the southern half of Chioni, harsh environment, but they have nice summers.

The camp of Siqiniq was built up with icy walls and snowdrifts. It was well sheltered from the wind from the forest near by and from the ice walls, and the rivers surrounding it were a stellar source of water. The archway was beautifully carved out of ice, and the light hit it in all of the right places. Wind chimes could be heard clinking from the camp. As one would enter, they would be greeted by the large ice formation that spread out from the entrance on either side. It was almost completely see through.

Once inside of the camp, the fur covered tents would make a great contrast with the beautiful architecture of the camp walls. It seemed like one was walking into a dream.

A large tent was located at the center of the camp. It was where the wind chimes were coming from. The hut was surrounded by a small ring of jagged ice.

The camp walls were even beautiful from the inside. They were decorated with trinkets and furs, making the camp feel very alive and homely.
